We believe in building strong relationships with each other and God, supporting each other in the spirit of love. We strive to do all for the glory of God, not for the glory of man. We do not believe we are to judge anyone, we are to show the love of Jesus. We do not have all the answers to life's struggles, but we do know the One who does. We are not about building a church, we are about building the Kingdom. Jesus said if we come to Him, He will give us rest. We strive to maintain a place of peace where we can rest in the presence of God. We believe where you have been is not as important as where you are going. We do not encourage looking back, we encourage looking ahead, and looking up.

"Therefore I urge you brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living, holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not conform to this world, but be transformed, by the renewing of your mind, so you might prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
For through grace given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of yourself than you ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do the same function, so we who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another."

Vertical Connection Ministries works with local churches in an effort to take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the world through music and the arts. VCM is multi-denominational, meaning that we embrace all churches and denominations, working with the church to meet the needs of all people. Along with the Awaken Praise Band, VCM reaches out to the community with a Mobile Clothes Bank.
We have come to realize over the years that there are many hurting people in our world. We ourselves have been through some difficult times in our lives as well. At VCM, we understand the pain of the teenager who has been forced to leave home, or suffering as a result of divorce. Rejection is a very difficult reality in our culture, sad but true. No matter where you are as a young person or adult, we extend to you a hand of fellowship. We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world, and we all feel the need to be heard, accepted, and loved. We are here with open hearts, and we have closed the door on judgment, for we are not called to judge, but to love.
At Vertical Connection Ministries, we present the message of God's love through music, not harsh words. We are called to serve others. (Romans 12)
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
